Exhibit Overview

The Dali Exhibitions provided audiences with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of surrealism through its greatest and most notorious practitioner, Salvador Dali.  The exhibition presented a fantastic and unrivalled range of Dali’s imaginative and flamboyant works including illustrations, large and small scale sculpture, jewellery, and furniture.  Highlights included a reconstruction of the Fantasmagorical room that Dali designed for his patron Edward James including the striking Lips of Mae West Sofa and the show-stopping, large scale painting Dali created for Alfred Hitchcock’s Spellbound.

UEG worked in partnership with the Chinese Government to celebrate the new Millennium by presenting a tour of the interactive exhibition, Dali A Journey into Fanatasy in China.  This was the first western art exhibition to be shown in modern China and introduced the work of Dali through an inventive interactive multimedia experience.  It was the inaugural exhibition at the Millennium Monument in Beijing.
